The Arial® Mobile Application is engineered to integrate seamlessly with STANLEY Healthcare’s Arial® Wireless Emergency Call System, offering senior living caregivers an advanced tool for managing emergency call alarms and facilitating collaborative communication among staff members. This application is equipped with user-friendly features designed to ensure that community caregivers maintain visibility into all pertinent alarms, their statuses, and the identities of responders.

Alarm Message Handling

• Receive Alarms – Caregivers can receive alarms from call stations and pendants throughout the facility via their mobile devices, tailored to their designated zones.
• Alarm Information – Each alarm message supplies essential details, including date, time, type, and location of the alarm.
• Rich Alarm Messages – Alarm notifications can incorporate images or icons representing residents or devices, color-coded designations for alarm types, and organization by priority level.
• Respond to Alarms – When alarms are acknowledged, notifications are sent to colleagues indicating who has accepted the alarm.
• Escalations – The application offers intuitive synchronization for escalating unresolved alarms according to pre-set parameters in the Arial software.
• Defer Events – Certain alarms can be deferred for a designated timeout period, accompanied by a rationale for the deferral.

Caregiver/Resident Encounters

• Alarm Notes – Pre-configured alarm notes in Arial allow caregivers to document their actions during encounters with residents.
• Custom Notes – Caregivers can input personalized notes detailing the specifics of their interactions related to any accepted alarm response.
• Alarm Completion – Caregivers finalize encounters by selecting a “Complete” button, which records the noting of actions taken and logs the actual duration of the interaction with the resident.

Caregiver Text Messaging and Collaboration

• Live Directory – A dynamic directory displays all caregivers within the facility, highlighting those currently on duty.
• Text Messaging – The application supports collaboration among caregivers by facilitating text message conversations for coordinating resident care. Each message includes timestamps and distinctive colors for easy differentiation.
• Error Notification – Messages that fail to send are indicated in red, ensuring quick identification of communication issues.
• Message Retention – Conversations and messages are preserved for 24 hours for reference.

Enhanced Reporting

• Encounter Times – By tracking alarm clearance and completion times, Arial captures the actual “encounter time” that caregivers spend with residents — defined as the interval from when an alarm is reset to when it is completed in the application.
• Diverse Reporting Options – Encounter times and averages can be filtered into a wide range of reports within the Arial software.
• Management Dashboard Integration – Average encounter times are included as a key data element on the Arial Management Dashboard.
• Log of Alarm Response Activities – Activities recorded by caregivers when completing alarms are stored in the Arial database and can be utilized to generate detailed reports.
